Issue: When viewing a HTML storyboard in Internet Explorer 7, the links between pages do not function and an Internet Explorer error message page is displayed.

Comments: This is a known Microsoft issue with HTML exports from Visio 2003 to Internet Explorer 7. We will post an update as soon as a workaround, patch or update is available from Microsoft.

...in Internet Explorer 7, the links between pages do not function...

Workaround:

  • Click the "Save As Web Page" button.
  • On the dialog window click the "Publish..." button and another dialog window is opened.
  • Select the "Advanced" tab.
  • In the "Output Formats" picklist select "SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)".
  • Click "OK".

The generated HTML storyboard will work with IE7, however the screens will not auto-resize to fit the browser and the 'Pan and Zoom' feature (Visio 2003) will not be available.

Announcement
The HTML output in IE7 (using the SVG format) has an awkward look and feel, the 'Pan and Zoom' feature is not available and the component properties are not displayed. We have included the fix for IE7 (i.e. produce the HTML outputs to the IE6 standard) in the stpBA Storyboarding v3.02 Upgrade - see the post http://forums.stpsoft.co.uk/index.php?topic=57.0.

Fixed in v3.02.
